Made for sharing tea with big groups, it is glazed in a black with golden inclusions, creating magical, one-of-a-kind markings. The name Kokuyō comes from the Japanese word kokuyōseki, obsidian. It refers to the deep glow of volcanic glass: dark at first glance, yet capable of reflecting light from within. The name captures the character of this collection — a deep black surface highlighted by luminous golden flashes.
Each piece is unique, glaze patterns, making every teapot truly one of a kind. Capacity may vary slightly (±50ml) due to its handmade nature. Please note that volume is measured with plain water only; when brewing, the actual capacity will be slightly less as tea leaves take up space inside.
