Vlastimil Hanuš is a woodworker and instrument maker based in Czechia. Using locally sourced wood, he creates functional objects shaped almost entirely with hand tools. Instead of sanding, he relies on the clean cut of exceptionally sharp chisels and planes, preserving the integrity of the wood fibers. The result is a surface of remarkable smoothness, silky to the touch. He has been crafting artisanal tea utensils since 2018.
