Tea towels are invisible yet invaluable helpers during a tea ceremony, perfect for absorbing small drops and spills that may occur. Each one is sewn from pure Japanese cotton, selected for its soft handfeel and its traditional patterns in green or blue. These towels are made to be used: as they collect drops of tea over time, the fabric becomes softer, more seasoned, and even more absorbent. There’s no need to worry about stains; they’re part of the towel’s life and beauty.
The patterns are classic Japanese motifs: small clustered blossoms, stylized chrysanthemums, and tiny dotted repeats. The gold accents on green are subtle, just a shimmer woven into the pattern that catches light in a gentle way. This kind of textile you’d find in an old Kyoto shop that sells things made to age well rather than stand out brightly.
There are two color options for the tea towels:
- Green
- Blue
