This dark ribbon is made out of pure linen. It is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. Linen fabric has a lovely earthy feel, softening beautifully in time of usage. The flax plant, from which linen fibers are harvested, consumes far less water than cotton and requires fewer chemicals and pesticides making it a great eco-fabric choice for the environmentally conscious. Linen can degrade in a few weeks when buried in soil, it is even more biodegradable than cotton.
