Collection: Yūgen

Yūgen 幽玄 is one of those concepts that refuses to be fully translated, which is precisely its beauty. In Japanese aesthetics, Yūgen refers to subtle, profound grace — a kind of mysterious elegance that points toward the infinite. It invites contemplation, humility, and wonder. It’s the sense that the world holds more than we can see, and that beauty lives in the unseen.

For few years, the Yūgen collection meant gorgeous combination of deep matte grey glaze and a reflective golden dot. It became a signature for the studio. Due to a natural shift in the chemical composition of our raw minerals, the original glaze became impossible to replicate. If you own an origin grey bowl, made before the fall of 2025, hold it tight. It’s officially can’t be replicated. 
We created new version, a sophisticated grey-to-dark gradient. It is moody, complex, and incredibly tactile on the tea table.
