This handcrafted stoneware tea jar features a warm brown body with a creamy white, drip-style glaze that creates the look of snow melting down a rugged mountainside. The 1.05 liter capacity offers generous storage for loose-leaf tea or broken puerh cakes while keeping them protected from light and air.
Kogarashi Tea Jar is hand made on a pottery wheel from stoneware clay, fired over 1230°C. Both inside and outside are glazed. Its cylindrical form and snug-fitting lid bring a calm presence to open shelves, tea cabinets. Only one was made.
