Storing tea correctly is really important, everything that tea touch affects its flavor. Having really nice jars is a great way to bring most of the tea. This сeramic tea jar, hand made on a pottery wheel from local stoneware clay, woodfired at over 1300°C. Both inside and outside are glazed in natural ash glaze called "Nuka". Nuka is a traditional Japanese glaze originally made from rice husk ash. The recipe for this Nuka was adapted to local materials, using wood ash, local minerals, and river stones.

The body is glazed inside as outside, and the lid on each jar has a piece of bamboo stem, and all pieces were handmade and woodfired.

These tea jars were made by Czech ceramist Jiří Lang who focused in his studio on woodfired ceramic for over a decade, creating mostly teaware and beautiful vases.
