A one-of-a-kind fully reversible chabu made by pairing two distinct vintage Japanese kimono silks. Each side is different, so both sides of the tea runner offer a unique look. You can flip it over to match your mood or the occasion, giving you two beautiful designs in one. Both silks are light, supple, and naturally fluid. The runner rests completely flat across wood, stone, or tatami, framing your chawan, teapot or bowls.

Side A, Kanoko Shibori & Sayagata: The light green side made from authentic kanoko shibori (fawn-dot tie-dyeing technique), where clusters of small green-tipped squares disperse into a soft, mist-like gradient across the silk. Woven directly into the ground is a sayagata pattern, symbolizing longevity and continuity, which reveals a luminous sheen when caught by light.

Side B, Deep Forest Green: Sourced from a second vintage kimono, this contrasting side and bordered edge are crafted from a rich, solid deep green silk.

Size 62.6 x 6 in // 159 x 15 cm
